Our university: CTU in Prague
How many members do we have?
More than 600 international students a year, more than 200 members (60 active members approx.).
Who are we and what do we do?
The International Student Club at CTU is a voluntary, non-governmental and non-profit student organisation, established in September 1999 and successfully operating since then. ISC has joined the ESN in 2002 as the first section in the Czech Republic.
Our prime goal is to promote the international spirit and cultural awareness among the university students and to establish a working Czech – international student community relationship. The cornerstone of our activities is the “Buddy programme”, based on the “students helping students” idea and the great friendliness of our members.
ISC not only cares about the incoming exchange students, but also tries to create the true finest international atmosphere at our home university – this includes organising regular international activities and also irregular projects dealing with the exchange study programmes, cultural promotion and lately also with the student activities at CTU itself.
ISC was awarded the ESN Section of the year in 2003 (SOTY award for the best ESN section).
The main ISC activities are:
Our most successful projects were:
All the ISC members are highly-motivated students and are enthusiastic about common future plans and new ideas, which gives ISC the best imaginable atmosphere and also gives the members at the local level the opportunity to feel the ESN spirit, common for all the ESN sections there are.
